Open House İstanbul is a public, non-profit architecture festival that opens the city's doors for a weekend each year. Buildings and private spaces, often closed to the public, become places to enter, experience, and question. We approached the work knowing the festival had to reach everyone, not just architecture students and academics. That meant building an identity that pulls the general public in and invites them to rediscover how İstanbul was built, lived in, and used, and how that past still shapes the city today. The system is anchored by a custom logotype drawn from İstanbul's architecture and skyline. We paired arcs and serif forms with a mono typeface, blending structural heritage with a modern, architectural edge. For color, we stepped away from the tired blue-and-turquoise İstanbul cliché. Instead, we chose pop, high-frequency tones that capture the energy of contemporary urban life and the people who live it. Across identity, print, campaign, motion, and the website, the result is a brand that treats the city as something to be curious about: alive, immediate and open.
